Have you ever started an experiment or project with your child, only to realize you're missing a vital ingredient or tool?
I have.
And if you're like me, you're a busy parent who doesn't have time to run out and find the missing item.
So when I was designing Leatherwork 101, I knew that I had to make sure that ALL the tools and materials needed for the practice exercises and projects needed to be included. I didn't want my students to have any stumbling blocks that would cause confusion and frustration and keep them from completing each lesson.

Sorry, it really is best for teens and up. I've taught 11 and 12 year olds and they generally struggle more with the physicality of leather working. Many of them just can't do the hammering needed to punch holes or install hardware. Some can, but most will struggle.
It's better to wait a few more years and have a good experience than to try too early, struggle and get frustrated, and never want anything to do with leatherworking again.
When you register your child (or yourself- I've had adults take my course, too!) for Leatherwork 101, they'll receive a box with all the materials and tools they'll need to complete the practice exercises and projects for 8 lessons.
The only additional item you need to purchase is a lighter, since those can't be shipped through the mail.

Your child will also gain access to the online video tutorials for each lesson and they can email me with any questions they may have.
